I have to echo most of the comment made by Doug Chamberlin.
If you want to have 10 developers making database changes, although this
would not be my recommendation, then you should be having them work on a
development and not a production database.
The changes to the production database should be 'controlled' and well
thought out -- having 10 people making changes is not really
'controlled'.
