The problem is that there are three serial ports, one of which has up to 32
operator terminals. Activity from here happens at any time, and how ever I
try and stop one thread while another is active, there are random hickups
once or twice in every thousand operations. If I prevent one half talking
directly to the other everthing is fine again, but this is operational
unacceptable. This is probably going to have to be the solution, but the
IB5.6 version has been running for 3 years without a problem. The next check
is to move back to that!

No it needs a Microsoft Compiler which is why I have not even tried to look
at it.
