Hello all,

we will be porting our VB/Access application to VB/SQL Server and I
thought it will be a nice opportunity to try to concurrently develop
an InterBase port as well. I worked with InterBase 5.1 about 4 years
ago and would like to try the newest FireBird engine.

Some questions pop up right away:
- where can I download the latest tested executables for Windows
platform? Please provide a direct URL
- Would the server part run on NT workstation? (I don't think I can
install IB on the development server yet - until I prove the
feasibility of developing two ports simultaneously)
- Where can I get an OLEDB provider for InterBase/FireBird? In case
such a beast doesn't exist, did anyone run any speed tests on existing
ODBC drivers? (though I would hate using OLEDB provider for ODBC
riding on top of an ODBC driver - sounds too messy)
