Hi -

I'm new to interbase/firebird. I've looked through the various
websites, but didn't see an obvious answer to my question.

I've seen many references to interbase being an "embedded" database.
This has implied to me that it's possible to use the interbase engine
in a single-user desktop application without needing to installed and
run the full interbase server. Is this correct? If so, are there
any pointers or docs that I could use to investigate.
