Helen,
10035 and 10061 are TCP/IP errors, respectively Resource Temporarily
unavailable, and Connection Refused.
I suspect that the 10061 error is the relevenat one and is caused by the client
not being able to connect to port 3050 on the server. This is caused by one of a
number of reasons:
1. Interbase is not running (Super Server) or not configured properly in
inetd.conf (Classic).
2. Client or server or both do not have gds_db 3050/TCP entry in 'services'
file.
3. For IB5.x it could be that InterBase does not have to correct licenses
installed (Remote Access)
It may also be that whatever is causing the 10035 is killing the network layer
and/or InterBase and/or inetd on the server, and that then results in the 10061,
but in my view this is unlikely.
