I had the misfortune to install AOL on one of the machines on my system.
The latest version 6. It took out ALL my network. The only way of
restoring operations was to re-build the machine.

A warning to all UK users thinking of using AOL for fixed monthly
internet access costs - DON'T - BTInternet's offering at the same price
actually works without breaking your network! So now I have unlimited
internet access at UK£15 per month - better than UK£200.
