Yes, that's a common and annoying problem. InterBase (and Firebird by
inheritance) doesn't check validity conditions when they're added. Depending
on how comfortable you are with the idea, you could build a debugging
gbak, disable the NOT NULL constraint, and complete the restore. Or
you could hire someone to do that for you. I can certainly do it (not
free) and so could a lot of the firebird developers.
