I tried to change Metadata but when I restore dbs overwrite the metadata created with your idea.
How can restore only data on a restored metadata dbs?

Create an empty database
with a trigger that checks for the field and set a default value
or better define in the empty database a default value for that column.
Then use gbak with the -R option...
if this doesn't work...
I have no idea...
it's normal that gbak checks for the integrity.
