Yes, every few thousand records. After the 'import' has been completed, I
can log into the database with ISQL or what ever and see the data, it is just
not being flushed to the GDB file(s)

I need 'forced writes = ON' without the performance penaty <g>, or failing
that, so way of signaling FB to flush its file(s) either manually, or
automatically (like the sweep thread)
