Hi:

This is a sabotage effort by M$. Supposedly they included *.gdb as
an extension for backing up files.
Every time you change something, xp back up the whole file. They did
not do this on their own database extensions. It was done to make IB
look bad.

M$ sucks. There are lots of comments around on how to disable the
feature or change from *.gdb to
something else that M$ does not track.
