Woody,
Yes and no... I have two drives, where IB is installed on the primary.
I've tried, running the .gdb or .lalala (renamed) both in the program directory, my document, and on the second drive with sys restore enabled on all drives and disabled on all drives.
I've also editted filelist.xml to exclued .gdb files.
I haven't actually installed IB on the second drive and disabled sys restore on it, as I figured that having it on the main drive and disabling sys restore completely on all drives would achieve the same effect.
Just in case there is some weird sys restore disabling bug in which it is not really disabled, I'll give it a try tonight, but I don't think that it will make much of a difference since the delay still occurred with sys restore disabled on all drives.
Thanks again!
Stan
Have you tried installing Interbase on a separate partition and putting
your databases there? You can disable System Restore for other partitions
