A lot of big projects already use it, but many of them tend to wrap a little
further to provide 'objects' such as 'user' or 'wiki page' which are loaded
and/or cached from the database. The raw data from the query is loaded in one
hit, the things like 'line by line read' are only really provided for users who
think that way ;)

The only thing I can see that is different is the reporting, but I have a couple
of packages that I use for that - which pick up the ADOdb connection anyway.
