I think that actually sums up the situation. There are still sections of PHP5.3
that are not generally available to windows/apache users, and the recomendation
on windows IS still to use the 5.2 builds. Although I am hoping to get a 5.3.4
64bit build run over the next couple of weeks. I've got the Vista machine
working AGAIN although I think Microsoft SHOULD provide free updates to Vista
simply because it never worked properly and I can't see why I have to pay a lot
of money simply to get bug fixes for it :(

In the meantime, my own need for windows builds has been slowly evaporating.
Very few of my customer sites still have a windows based server, having now
allowed 'upgrades' to linux boxes simply because they are more stable :)
