Sorry for the first post. I found that there is indeed a "problem" on Windows with this version.

Now my problem is that I cannot go back to version 5.2 as I use a class that we hire, and they use themselves EasyPHP with php version 5.3. I can only ask to install extra extensions.
Normally I use in my courses php with firebird, but I need a driver for this version then. I read there were maybe "private" drivers available: can someone help me with that?
If I can't find it, I will have to focus more on MySQL.
