I think I've given up with KDE and all the problems it's creating on the
desktop, so I'm back with Gnome at present on Mint7 ( I was not actually using
KDE on the Mandriva box, but updates were messing up the desktop I was using :( )
Mint includes Apache 2.2.8 and PHP 5.2.6 along with Firebird 2.1.1, so since
I'm not having any real problems with Windows, why not build my own FLAP stack
from source ...
I suspect I got in a little mess initially, but I now have working
fb2.1.2/ap2.11/php5.2.10 running with a few less 'test' errors than the win64
installations.
The two errors we know about on the php test suit
003.phpt which is fb version dependent, and I think we just correct
006.phpt which is showing a possible rounding error ?
but the one I'm having fun with is from ibtest.php - the Check types2 which
should return 6543210.1234567 - and which it is doing on the win64 build, but
not on the Linux build, which is still giving 654321.1234567 and both get the
NUMERIC(18,8) wrong. I don't use anything so big myself so it's not a problem
for me, but I think we need to set up these in the php tests and at least flag
the problem?
I am fairly happy that the 64 bit blob_id problem has been cleared up and so
we probably need to get someone to close all those bugs ...
