Hardware I have available, and installing Linux on them does not cost
anything, but you need windows licence how ever you install - At least
for XP and above, and VS Express will not install on anything less ...

I'm on the php-win IRC trying to get this Vista machine running, but it
DOES have a problem with the configuration - despite the fact that I've
only installed the two packages listed in the article. I'm just wiping
everything again and will start for scratch with a web based install
rather than the iso local one.

At least now I know what is wrong - and I could simply hack it - but we
will try and see if we can find the problem instead ...
