OK - well let's see what you think of these proposals:

1. That we stop extending from ibase (for both datadict and adodb), we take
the code from ibase, put it in firebird and then keep going. (this should
also include recordset)
2. the ADODB_ASSOC_CASE define is commented out in adodb.inc. We make a
comment to the effect to change it to defining it to 0 is the recommeded
case (lower case).
3. sooner or later we will get a firebird extension for php - so maybe it's
time to migrate away from "ibase" reference everywhere?
