I don't think the Interbase module ever made it into phplib. Most people
moved over to something else so did not bother with phplib.

Depends how competent you are. Adding a db_firebird.inc would not be
difficult - db_oracle.inc is probably a good choice to copy, and if you
get a copy of ADOdb, then the Interbase driver in that has most of the
code you need.

PHP5 would be best for php_interbase though, since you may need some of
the things like rows_affected. Which are not supported in PHP4
