Always difficult to track problems when you can't see what is going on,
we use WinVNC or Radmin to access remote sites, but that puts it's own
load on the machines ;)

Next on the list then is 'sweep'. If this is not configured so it's
using the default 20000, then from time to time a sweep will slow things
down. Best option is to set it to 0 and then run a manual sweep when
things are quiet - we normally backup and sweep over night, and just
check the backup has run via a restore to a temporary file name. Now
getting windows to schedule things can be fun - especially in NT.
