In FreeBSD, you do:
`cd /usr/ports/databases/php5-interbase`
`make install`

In OS X, you might have to build the PHP module from source, which isn't
hard, but it's a little involved.

Another user might already have a pre-compiled interbase.so they can gzip up
for you, and you can just drop it in your extensions directory.
