Hi,

Have used osCommerce (open source, E-Commerce) for a while now. It
uses MySQL db and PHP. Has anyone had any experience with porting
osCommerce source code, so that I can use a Firebird db ?

Of course all the SQL functions used are the MySQL ones, see
http://au.php.net/manual/en/ref.mysql.php

I notice there is an IB connect at http://au.php.net/ibase_connect ,
but there doesn't seem to be much for Firebird ? Or am I missing
something ?

Also, my current web host does not see any need for installing either
IB or Firebird, as his hosting is pretty much tied into CPanel, and
there is no current support from CPanel for IB/FB.

Anyway, if anyone has any experiences with using osCommerce with FB,
please let me know.
