i find this funny the article link that you gave says the guy configured
with firebird 1.5 but in the steps he uses the firebird 1.03 rpm LMAO
firbird 1.5 falls over when you try to get it work on mandrake 10 and apache
2 1.03 works fine i will post my steps up on the list soon but firebird 1.5
does not work on mandrake 10 with php dont know about the other linux
distributions.

I think that's the main problem -- mine is Mandrake 9 and the PHP
installation was 4.3.9 (the latest). Guess this will not work for me.
Any other ideas, friends?
