X._._ is breaking change, like deprecating APIs etc, removing some
options from enumerations, etc
_.Y._ is incremental change, like introducing new API, adding
functions, extending enumerations
_._.Z is bugfix with no new functions/constants introduced

So, there can be place for all three options now and then
