>Thanks Justin, you are right - it connects with Jaybird 1.5.6 but there is a GDS Exception 335544569 (token unknown CHARACTER_LENGTH). I have found several posts relating to this error and it seems to be a problem with version 1.5.6 of Jaybird (presumably when connecting to 2.x servers).
