Has anyone been able to get the Firebird JDBC driver to work for embedded databases on 64 bit Mac OS X? I have it working on Windows (via the provided DLLs required by JNI) but had a heck of a time compiling a 64 bit shared library version and even when I got a version compiled and included a bunch of other .dylibs it still wouldn't properly initialize.

I can bundle up more info about the work I did and changes I made to build and source files to get the library to compile, but I wanted to see if anyone had a HOWTO or URL that had already solved the issue. Or if there were technical reasons that it wasn't possible.
