After bothering the list so much, you'll be glad to hear the custom
transaction level is working with Hibernate!

Just a quick question though - do I need to reset the TPB before the
Hibernate Session closes and the connection is returned to the pool? Or
will it be reset itself?

Also, with the locks that are going on, I ran into a connection whereby
Hibernate couldn't get a connection while in wait state - is there a
recommended pool size? Is there any way to figure out how many max
connections to set?
