Nothing, no recent records. No signs of crash.

Dont use ext files. Use udfs but not in that query.

When I issue that query from isql, it works.

It can be the bug in my ancient jaybird, fixed when rewritten, as
well as in fb 1.5.2.4731. I wont bother nobody untill upgrade to
jaybird 1.5.5-release.
