If anyone is curious, the event patent is available at www.uspto.gov, US
Patent 5,592,664. It was originally filed in July, 1991, and refiled in
1994 by Borland's internal legal department. My guess is that Postgres
is in violation of the patent. Happily, that's somebody else's problem.
