To connect you have to enter an URL of that kind :
jdbc:firebirdsql:SERVER_NAME_OR_IP:PATH_TO_DB_FILE

and in the driver entry :
org.firebirdsql.jdbc.FBDriver

i have installed the firebirdsql-full.jar file in the JBuilder9
enterprise as per the instructions that can with jaybird. i am
attempting to connect to a gdb database file on the same computer.
how do i do this?

i think i am most stuck on the entry for the "Driver". the URL is
just the database path and filename, correct? do i need extended
parameters?
