Hi ,
when remote application (Application built over
JBOss) gets started. Initially there will not be any
DB with the given "DBname". Then it will create the db
via FBManger MBean. Here remote application does not
knows the file path of DBServer. Remote Application
cannot give only the reference path. (It can just give
the db name).
DB file aliasing can be used for existing DB's.
Moreover dbserver cannot know what db file to get
created initially. We cannot give the alias initially.
Application administrator cannot know the db server
adminstration. So db file should get created on the
fly , if db does not exists previously. My suggestion
is to have an "dbdir" property so that DB can get
created in that directory,
If Iam wrong kindly correct me,
thanks & Regards,
S.Karthick
If I am wrong correct me here.
