I think it would be very important to add the summarized changes from
the last release in the release notes. It makes many people nervous
(for example me :-) to put a new driver in a production system without
some detail on what changed. I know there's a changelog in the
distribution but is too low level and doesn't mark clearly where each
version starts.
BTW the changes in the Sourceforge announce are empty.
