Hi,
<On the other hand, invest some time yourself and try to get some
exact steps reproducing the error - or try finding a cause. This is open
source software, after all.>
Reproducing the error is quite simple. Just hook a 1.5 rc8 and subj driver up with JBoss 3.0.7/3.0.8 using firebird-service.xml, and you'll see the problem right away :-)
I think I'll stick to Phil's solution and try to convince our customers to upgrade to JBoss 3.2.3 instead..
/Kris

Problems using FirebirdSQL-1.5.0BetaJDK_1.4 driver with JBoss 3.0.xHi Kris,
right away. People _might_ be busy or are currently looking into it.
On the other hand, invest some time yourself and try to get some
exact steps reproducing the error - or try finding a cause. This is open
source software, after all.
This is a support list - the Java driver guys do hangout here, but they
have their day-time jobs as well.
The reason I wrote this is that I sometimes get a bit tired of
people saying things like:
- hey, this and that database engine returns better error
messages, should I just continue using that?
- hey, in MySQL this works like so and so - I'd better stick
with MySQL then.
- I don't understand feature X, so I'd better use PGSQL,
cause then I know what I'm doing...
etc...
