We have a couple of production systems running Firebird 1, Jaybird 1 and
Jboss 3.2.x that work fine. I have not tried FB/Jaybird 1.5 yet, but will so
after both are released with a view to upgrading our systems.

As for Jboss 3.0.x, that is an old version that is not supported (without a
for pay support contract), so you are better off going with 3.2.x, which is a
lot better than 3.0.x, IMO
