I also have executed single-user AS3AP benchmark suite both with old
(JayBird 1.0.1) and new (JayBird 1.5 beta 1), results are the same.

It would be great if you can provide a test case that represents
performance degradation with new driver, since we did not change
anything related to the select performance and your results are a bit
surprising...
