Hi, I'm developing a JSP/Servlet based application accessing Firebird RDBMS
through the jdbc driver.
Are there known performance-problems using character set = iso8859_1 or
commonly using any character set?
I've got big troubles with performance since I defined the character-set for
the database. Queries now take about 5-6 seconds (approx. 1300 datasets)
what is too much imo. Before I set the character-set the queries executed in
~150ms.
When executing the same queries in IBOConsole or other tools, there is no
significant loss of performance.
Thank you!
