Hi Juan,

It looks like you are using Tomcat to run this web app, so you could close
and reopen the DataSource under program control in your app. You can look
at the code in CATALINA_HOME/server/webapps/admin/resources to get an idea
of how they do it in the "Admin" web app that comes with Tomcat.

It's a Struts web app so it may be a little hard to follow if you don't do
struts.

You could also use the appropriate calls to the JMX mbean for your
DataSource to shut it down and restart it.
