You submit few first changes through one of the current developers.
If everything is ok, you get CVS write access.

However right now we will not accept any changes to the driver, we
are about to release, so only bug fixes are accepted. After release
feel free to contact anybody with your changes or post your changes
here (latter you can do right now).
