If possible I would like to see a JDBC version that did not require
anything except the firebirdsql.jar.

I use the driver with Tomcat and use jdk1.4. Before the changes were
made I had to have the connector.jar along with the firebirdsql.jar due
to some classes that are needed to throw exceptions. Otherwise I would
get class not found errors, when using the driver.

I have not needed this jar based on my use of the driver.

I have not used this one, and since I am using jdk1.4 that would explain
why.

This may only be need with JBoss, I do not use it so I can't say. I do
not know it's not needed in my scenario.
