Hi,
While I definitely encourage you to try out our pure-java driver,
especially as a jca resource adapter in jboss, you can use interclient.
Run interserver on the same (non-novell) machine as Interbase, the java
portion (interclient.jar) on the novell machine.

Sorry I didn't answer yesterday, I've been having email problems, hopefully
now solved.
