A light sprinkling of the JDBC2_0-stdext.jar didn't help any. I put
in my JRE tree and in the /opt/interbase/interclient directory, but
it made no difference.

Upon closer inspection the interserver executable seems to be written
in C, so fooling with java wouldn't make a difference.
