Hi. I understand the concept of fewer releases with less new features
and believe that is the direction many software packages are headed,
ours included. However with a database I would suggest that about 1
new release a year should be about the maximum.

I am one of the people Dmitry refers to. We have been waiting for the
SMP system promised in FB 3.0 since 2.0. When 2.1 arrived we stuck with
2.0 rather then update our client base to 2.1 and then shortly after to
3.0. However 3.0 did not arrive and 2.5 came out. We continued to wait
hoping that FB would be around the corner. We have recently (last
6mths) decided to release on 2.5 as we can wait no longer. For us this
is a major pain as we anticipate rapidly moving to FB 3.0 when it is stable.

I appreciate your work Dmitry, Lets get 3.0 out :)

Thanks
Rob
