Snapshot builds of an "alpha' version are not intented to be used in
production. Period.


I think it's pretty clear that what Carlos said is:
"The user base wish a more frequent stable release, even if it contain
few new features"

We all know that FB 3 is a major architecture change.

But, perhaps we could have FB 2.6 that could introduce (for example)
Window Functions, Packages, etc.

Even if it does not contain all major changes, it could bring new
features to users hands.

Do I need FB 3.0 ? Perhaps no, the current version is good enough for me.

But, as stated earlier when this discussion rised, we are talking about
the possible reasons why FB users are not passionate enough about it,
and how we could make FB more visible to "no FB users".
