someone on #firebird irc channel has the same issue with Orange ISP in
France , can you call them or send an email to support

I have done some tests and dns servers seems to be fine ,
http://freedns.afraid.org/domain/dnstrace.php?domain=firebirdsql.org&submit=Trace
maybe you should use your own dns server (but is hard to install) or
an alternate one
