I think Oracle could use MySQL userbase to target the other end of the
market, Oracle is on the high end, MySQL on the low-end, and a good way
to migrate some of those from one product to the other.

But if MySQL get "good" enough, why would one migrate from a "free" one
to a paid "one" ? So I would not be surprised if the MySQL slows down.

Yes, but kind different to start from 0 than to have a company and it's
structure to make it go on...

Yes, different niches, but don't know if so very different that has no
intersection.

That part of intersection is that where I think the people who has
business direct related to FB should keep an eye.
