What is also missing is that many toolsets are not taking into account
Firebirdness and the 'basic JDBC' interfaces don't work so well. My
latest problem is Apache Cayenne which can't cope with Firebird on
migrations. Primary key support is wonky as well.

Its on my list to provide a proper interface for that platform so it
works well with FB but until then I've had to switch that app to mysql
so I can maintain schedule. Not optimal.

Towards that do we have a way of identifying 'maintainers' for
compatibility with outside apps/frameworks/platforms or is it ad hoc
and unofficial?
