I had considered giving MySQL a try for a DWH project due to it's
partitioning feature in 5.1, but after reading this and the fact that
MySQL tends to break backwards-compatibility nearly with each
sub-release (e.g. partitioned tables created in older server versions
can't be read by a newer server) I have to re-think that. ;-)
