Given that this is a long outstanding "issue" and - as we can see now -
no-one
proffessional wants to take this upon him/her (no offence to the people who
have created the website until now), I would like to ask if some people
would
want to sponsor the new Firebird website.

That is: sponsor the design and implementation of a new portal (or implement
an open source portal framework with a Firebird design).

Would this be welcomed by the Firebird Project?
