Subject RE: [Firebird-general] Postgres Official benchmark

1 - Postgres has better/broader support for Sun OSs & Unix

2 - Postgres has/had better uptake within the existing and target Sun
user community

3 - Probably should be #1 -- Postgres uses the BSD license, Firebird
uses a Mozilla derivative license.

The BSD license allows Sun to make changes to the engine and keep them
private. The Mozilla license requires that changes be made public.
This allows Sun to create there own version and charge for it.

At this point I see less than a .00001% chance of changing SUNs choice
-- they made a strategic decision, they are not going to change it.
