MySQL has been hammering out new very very cool features
at an enormous rate...
Add to that the number of built in functions and it dwars Firebird
when it comes to usuable functionality -> for many people <-
MySQL 5.1 beta has been released including partioning features
and scheduled jobs...
When MySQL comes with it's own transactional engine and check
constraints, it's gonna rock big time.
And yes, MySQL has/had it quircks, but is working to remove
them as well!
