Thanks :-)

I have just read the document and have some comments, below. You
might want to take all or part of it as a pinch of salt, as my use of
English is occasionally dubious to say the least :-)

Introduction
============

instead of
"This paper will present you to the main features of the Firebird
database"
something like
"This paper will present you with a list of the main features
available within Firebird RDBMS"

"lightweight installer" could appear, at least to me as a derogatory term.

History
=======

"It is totally free and open source to any kind of use. There is no
kind of dual license. It is really FREE, whether you need it for a
commercial, or open source applications!"

might appear better as:

"It is totally free and open source. It has no dual license and can
be used by both commercial or open source applications, without
purchasing a license.

"Firebird technology is being used for 20 years, what makes it a very
mature and stable product"

The last part of the sentence appears to ask a question, perhaps:

"Firebird technology has been used for more than 20 years, this is
what makes it a very mature and stable product.

Major Features
==========

"Below is a list with some of the Firebird's major features:"

Perhaps

"Below, is a list of the major features found within firebird:"

"Multi Generational Architecture - fast recover, no need for
transaction logs!"

Perhaps

"Multi Generational Architecture - fast recovery, no need for
transaction logs!"

"Full featured internal language (PSQL)"

Perhaps

"Full featured internal language (PSQL) for stored procedures and
triggers."

"Support for UDFs (User Defined Functions)"

Perhaps

"Support for User Defined Functions (UDF)"

"Many ways to access your database: native/API, "

Perhaps

"Many ways to access your database: native API, "

"Native support for major operating systems, including Windows, Linux,
Solaris, MacOS, etc."

Perhaps

"Native support for all major operating systems, including Windows,
Linux, Solaris and MacOS."

Wanna try it?
=========

The title might sound better as something like:

Try it now!

"Trying Firebird is a very simple task. The installer size usually is
less than 4MB"

Perhaps

"Trying Firebird is a very simple task. The installed size is usually
less than 4MB"

"You can download it at the Firebird main site."

Perhaps

"All downloads can be found at the main Firebird web site."

"Classic starts one independent server process for every connection made."

Perhaps

"Classic starts an independent process for each connection made."

"It is a full featured Firebird server packed in just one DLL file, as
small as 1.5MB"

Perhaps

"It contains a fully featured RDBMS within a single DLL, approximately
1.5MB in size."

"Firebird comes with a full set of"

Perhaps

"Firebird also comes with a full set of"

"get statistics"

Perhaps

"retrieve database statistics"

"use a GUI (Graphical User Interface), there are lots of options to
choose from. Some of them are free, others are paid."

Perhaps

"use a Graphical User Interface (GUI), there are many free, commercial
or open source applications to choose from."

"as a service or in application mode. The installer can create an
icon in the Control Panel that you "

Perhaps

"as a service or as an application. The installer can also create a
control panel icon that you "

"All this information ca be found digging around in the Firebird main
site."

Perhaps

"All this information is freely available on the main Firebird website."

"for a more complete list."

Perhaps

"for a more complete and up to date list."

Delphi components
============

Might be worth adding MDO?

Would you like to help?
===============

"Due to the nature of an Open Source project, everyone can contribute
developing new features or fixing bugs."

Perhaps

"Due to the nature of Open Source projects, anyone can contribute by
developing new features or fixing bugs."

"Also, join the fbdevel"

Perhaps

"You will need to join the fbdevel"

I hope this helps and doesn't look as pedantic as it does from here 8-|
